GTA VI will include 34 original music tracks; album pre-order available now

Grand Theft Auto and music have always gone hand-in-hand, with its modern iterations in particular putting a great deal of focus on including countless licensed tracks alongside a suite of original bops. As we inch closer towards the impending arrival of GTA VI, Rockstar Games have now confirmed that the industry-breaking juggernaut will include dozens of original songs “from a genre-defying artist roster” – 6 of which are available to check out right now.

Over the past few days, we’ve seen an increasing number of musical artists take to their social media pages in order to tease their involvement with GTA VI. Similarly, Rockstar Games themselves have begun promoting the music side of their game with various billboards across the world.

This has now culminated with the full unveiling of Grand Theft Auto VI’s official album. Set to be released on the 19th of November (the same day as the game’s launch), GTA VI: The Album is confirmed to include “34 original tracks that capture the electric energy of Grand Theft Auto VI’s world of Vice City and Leonida.”

Marking roughly double the number of original tracks when compared to GTA V, Rockstar’s upcoming release looks set to offer yet another generational soundtrack. Of course, the full album will be available to stream across all digital music platforms, but for those who want a little something extra, the team have confirmed that GTA VI: The Album will be released physically in multiple forms.

Available to pre-order HERE, fans can get their hands on a CD album (costing £10.99); a vinyl release (£44.99) and last but not least, an all-encompassing ‘limited edition’ vinyl (setting you back £108.99).

While it is safe to assume that all 34 tracks will be certified bangers, those wanting to get an early taste of what to expect can check out a selection of the music right now, with 6 songs in particular having been released early:

• Travis Scott – RHYNO (prod. by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo)
• CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., & Etienne de Crécy – Sexy Magic

Of course, the full game will likely include hundreds of additional licensed tracks covering all manner of genres and niches across its radio stations. That said, getting a taste of GTA VI’s original music marks an exciting moment for those eagerly anticipating the game’s launch in two months’ time.
