Nvidia rolls out new Game Ready driver for Control Resonant, Gears E-Day and more

Nvidia has released a new GeForce Game Ready driver, adding optimisations for several upcoming titles while confirming a fresh wave of games launching with DLSS and RTX features over the next few weeks.

The latest driver, version 617.14 WHQL, includes updates for four major releases: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, Gears of War: E‑Day, Control Resonant and NCSoft’s AION 2. Nvidia says the driver delivers performance and stability improvements ahead of each launch, with specific optimisations targeting path tracing, ray‑traced lighting and updated animation systems in The Witcher 3 Remastered, as well as Unreal Engine 5 enhancements used in Gears of War: E‑Day.

Control Resonant arrives first on September 24th, launching with full path tracing, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. AION 2 follows shortly after, rolling out globally on September 30th for Founder’s Pack buyers before opening to free-to-play players on October 5th, with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation available from day one.

On September 29th, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered delivers upgraded path tracing, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and faster Frame Generation, with RTX 50‑series GPUs able to push Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 6X. This is a thorough reworking of The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition, overhauling graphics and animations, combat, progression and more. Then next year, we are going to be getting a brand-new expansion for The Witcher 3, the first in over ten years.

Finally, we have Gears of War: E‑Day, which launches to early access pre-order customers on October 1st, before rolling out to everyone on October 6th. The game will launch with DLSS Super Resolution, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex and ray‑traced Lumen lighting, plus RTX Mega Geometry for more accurate Nanite ray tracing.

The new Nvidia graphics driver is available to download now, either through Nvidia’s website or through the Nvidia App on PC.
