AMD Details Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 and AM5 – Launch September 27th

AMD has today given more details on its upcoming Ryzen 7000 Series - Zen 4 - processors and the AM5 platform. Launching 27th September, the Ryzen 9 7950X flagship is touted as having a 29% faster core for gamers versus Ryzen 5000 Series whilst also enhancing power efficiency thanks to the application of TSMC's 5nm process node. Four chips launch on September 27th alongside DDR5- and PCIe 5.0-capable X-Series motherboards, with B-Series boards to follow-up in October.

KitGuru Games: Insomniac’s Spider-Man reaches new heights on PC

You will no longer need a Facebook account for your Quest VR headset starting this month

Back in 2020, upon launching the Quest 2 headset, Meta made it a requirement that Facebook accounts be used to log in to the headset, a policy that caused a lot of issues and controversy at the time. Just one year later, the company changed its mind and began working on a new Facebook-less login system. It has been a while since the last update, but later this month, Facebook logins will no longer be required for VR headsets.

Microsoft claims Sony pays for ‘blocking rights’ to keep certain titles off of Game Pass

Just over a week ago, we learned the official opinions of Sony, Ubisoft, WB, Riot and other companies regarding Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Sony naturally had a lot to say and was particularly concerned with Microsoft's growing hold on the subscription market with Game Pass. Now, Microsoft has had a chance to respond, calling Sony for buying 'blocking rights' to keep certain games off of Xbox.
