Bethesda Game Studios’ Creation Engine is a bit of a double edged sword. While the first-party engine certainly has its benefits, many of BGS’ biggest failings tech-wise can be attributed (at least partially) to it. Despite previously stating that The Elder Scrolls VI would make use of Starfield’s Creation Engine 2, Todd Howard has now revealed that TES6 will in fact be running on their newly-announced Creation Engine 3.

Avowed officially lands on PS5 alongside major Anniversary update

While initial impressions surrounding Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed left plenty to be desired (in part due to a disparity between fan expectations based on pre-release trailers and the final product), the game itself did offer plenty of fun in its own right, with satisfying wand combat, solid exploration and more. One year on from the game’s release on Xbox and PC, Avowed is now officially available on Sony’s PlayStation 5 – released in alignment with the game’s big anniversary update.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake may be announced soon

We’ve heard for quite a while now that Ubisoft has been working on a full-blown remake for the much-loved Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, with claims that the title would be launching this year. Following the recent cancellation of a bunch of in-development titles however (including an almost-complete Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake), the future of the Black Flag remake seemed uncertain. Fortunately it appears as though Ubisoft is still planning to release the game this year.
