Cooler Master is offering AM4 upgrade kits

A few weeks back, we learned that a few CPU cooler makers were preparing to offer up AM4 upgrade kits to ensure compatibility for AMD's upcoming Ryzen processors. Since then, a few cooler makers have confirmed compatibility via upgrade kits, including Phanteks and Noctua but this week, Cooler Master is joining the ranks, which is great news for all the Hyper 212 owners out there.

Cooler Master has officially begun accepting orders for AM4 upgrade kits, which will make its coolers compatible with socket AM4 motherboards and Ryzen processors. If you are using a cooler on an AM3+ motherboard at the moment, then you will need the kit as socket AM4 has an updated mounting arrangement.

Speaking on the matter, Cooler Master said: “We want to make your build upgrade as blazingly fast as possible. Whether you’re going all out with a brand new rig or simply swapping the motherboard and CPU, Cooler Master’s cooling products are already prepped and ready to go”.

Cooler Master expects to start sending its upgrade kits out on the 1st of March, which is around the same time we are expecting Ryzen to release. You can find all of the details on how to get your AM4 mounts, HERE.

KitGuru Says: It is great to see so many CPU cooler makers ensuring customers can have a smooth transition to AMD's new platform without needing to buy a new cooler. Are many of you planning on upgrading to Ryzen this year? Will you be using an old CPU cooler or getting a new one?
