Intel Core i7 2600K and Core i5 2500K review

Now we have seen the basic performance of the Core i5-2500k processor, we wanted to compare it against the 3.2ghz Core i5 655k processor. This processor is a 2 physical and 2 logical core design and has recently been discontinued, it was the previous generation ‘k' 4 core design. This page concentrates on both processors at ‘out of the box' settings.

Huge performance increases for the Core i5-2500k when compared to the last generation 655K.

With the Cinema4D engine, the i5-2500k delivers double the performance. Staggering.

In a similar fashion, video encoding times are significantly reduced when compared to the last generation processors.
