RX 7700 XT Revisit – ft. Gigabyte, PowerColor & Sapphire

We use Nvidia PCAT to measure power draw of the graphics card only, with readings from both the PCIe slot and the PCIe power cables combined into a single figure. We use Resident Evil 4 (4K) for this testing.

As for power draw, we can see some increases here compared to stock values. The Pure only draws 5W more than a reference 7700 XT (the Sapphire Pulse), but the Gaming OC is pulling just over 20W more. The Hellhound is the most power hungry of the lot, hitting just under 260W.

Combining the power draw values shown above with the performance data, we present performance per Watt for each graphics card tested:

Naturally that does have knock on effects for efficiency. We recorded the Hellhound losing about 9% efficiency compared to the Pulse, and it's about 7% worse for the Gaming OC. They're minor differences however and unlikely to affect your buying decision.
