The Nvidia RTX TITAN GPU will reportedly return with Blackwell

It has been years since we last saw a TITAN class GPU from Nvidia. However, it looks like it will be making a return with the upcoming Blackwell architecture, which is expected to power the next-generation RTX 50 graphics cards.

A recent video from RedGamingTech claims that Nvidia is actively working on a new Titan graphics card, bringing back the flagship after skipping two generations. It appears that designs for Titan models in the RTX 30 and 40 series were in the works but were eventually scrapped without any cards being released.

Kopite7kimi later corroborated this claim. This news doesn't come as a complete surprise, as there were previous discussions about a Titan based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, which ultimately never materialised for unknown reasons.

While the Titan series historically targeted gamers, its capabilities allowed it to be used for other types of tasks. With contemporary generative AI tools performing well on consumer hardware, the Titan series becomes an even more compelling option for professionals.

Besides the new Titan GPU, RedGamingTech also shared the alleged performance targets for the upcoming RTX 50 series, with the Titan card expected to be 63% faster than the RTX 4090. The supposed RTX 5090 will be about 48% faster than the RTX 4090, and the RTX 5080 is claimed to be 29% faster than the RTX 4080 Super. Lastly, the RTX 5070 is expected to be 26% faster than the RTX 4070 Super.

KitGuru says: With how graphics card prices have gotten, we can expect any new TITAN graphics card to be very pricey.
