Nvidia launches Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront ready driver

One of the most anticipated game launches of the year is coming tomorrow, with the release of Fallout 4. Additionally, we also have Star Wars Battlefront to look forward to next week, so in order to keep PC gamers up to speed, Nvidia has launched a new WHQL certified Game Ready driver, to prepare GTX GPU users for the new games. This is part of Nvidia's recently announced mission to have a Game Ready driver release for every single big holiday launch title.

Nvidia is doing the smart thing and bundling multiple game optimizations in to a single release, after all, 11 driver releases for the games coming out over the next six weeks seems a little excessive. The driver released today (358.91) encompasses Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront and Blizzard's upcoming StarCraft II expansion, Legacy of the Void.

Fallout 4 comes out tomorrow, along with Legacy of the Void. Battlefront on the other hand doesn't release until the 17th of November, so that one is a little further away. As far as GPU recommendations go, Nvidia is recommending that Fallout 4 players wanting to get 60 frames per second at 1080p have a GTX 970, while 1440p gamers should be equipped with a GTX 980Ti to ensure buttery smoothness at all times.

KitGuru Says: Nvidia has dedicated itself to Game Ready driver releases over the next few weeks, so expect a few more of these as we approach Christmas, after all, we still have Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Just Cause 3 to come, along with a bunch of other titles.
