Corsair launches Vengeance DDR5 SODIMM memory for laptops

We've seen a focus on desktop DDR5 memory over the last six months, but availability of DDR5-equipped laptops is also improving. For those looking to get some extra performance, Corsair is now launching DDR5 SODIMM modules.

Corsair Vengeance DDR5 SODIMM modules are optimised for the latest DDR5 gaming and performance laptops, as well as small form factor PCs. To begin with, Corsair is promising kits with up to 64GB of memory (2x32GB) running at up to 4800MHz.

Corsair's DDR5 SODIMM modules use tightly-screened chips to ensure consistent high-frequency performance, as well as improved signal quality and stability thanks to high-performance PCBs. These modules will be compatible with modern DDR5 gaming laptops, including the likes of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16, MSI Raider GE66 and Alienware x17 R2.

Installing and setting up VENGEANCE DDR5 SODIMM is quick and easy – just a screwdriver is required to install in most laptops and for high-speed kits, the system should automatically set the memory to the highest available speed without needing to dive into the BIOS. This seems to only be the case for 5200MHz and higher SODIMM kits though, which aren't available just yet.
