Dirt Showdown is the latest title in the franchise from Codemasters, based around the famous Colin McRae racing game series, although it no longer uses his name, since he passed away in 2007.

We selected the ULTRA preset and also toggled on 16x QCSAA, enough to bring most systems to a frame rate slideshow.

While the overclocked KFA2 GTX680 graphics card does a lot of the work, there is clearly performance related to the rest of the system. The older overclocked core i7 970 system struggles to maintain frame rates above the sweet spot of 25fps at all times. The ASRock Z77 OC Formula system on the other hand is markedly quicker and the end result is a much smoother overall experience.
