Teamgroup T-Force Cardea A440 Pro Special Series 1TB SSD Review

The drive comes in a compact, well-built box with an image of the drive on the front. A sticker above this image displays the drive's capacity while under the image is a logo informing you that the drive comes with a 5-year warranty.

The rear of the box carries another image (this time life-size). To the right of the image is a small multilingual information panel under which is a small list of some of the drives features. To aid in cooling the drive, Teamgroup supplies a very thin Graphene heatsink bundled in the box.

The 1TB version of the A440 Pro Special Series is built on a single-sided M.2 2280 format.

Alongside the Phison PS5018-E18-41 controller are four 256GB packages of Micron 176-layer B47R 3D TLC NAND together with a 1GB DDR4-2666 cache IC. Phison’s PS5018-E18 controller is built on a 12nm process and uses five cores, three Cortex R5 cores and a pair of Dual CoXProcessor 2.0 cores. The controller supports flash transfer rates up to 1,600 MTps and up to 8TB of TLC or QLC NAND.
