Cyberpower Infinity X66 GTX Gaming PC review

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a third-person action-adventure game that features similar gameplay found in 2013’s Tomb Raider. Players control Lara Croft through various environments, battling enemies, and completing puzzle platforming sections, while using improvised weapons and gadgets in order to progress through the story. It uses a Direct X 12 capable engine.

In an effort to keep the test fair, all settings are kept the same for the purpose of the graph below with only the resolution changed. The results below are gathered from a combination of Fraps alongside Rise of the Tomb Raider's built-in benchmarking tool.

Of course, the Infinity X66 GTX handles Rise of the Tomb Raider with ease at 1080p, however it's interesting to note that it struggled a little in the more demanding parts of the game, resulting in a greater range between average and minimum frames per second.

Once again, playing the game at 1440p resolution sits below the 60fps line at just 53fps on the “Very High” preset. With a few tweaks, or by simply using the “High” preset, owners of Cyberpower's system will be able to enjoy an average of 62fps.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is barely playable at 4K resolution on Very High, however, those comfortable at achieving the 30fps barrier simply need to switch to the “Low” settings. “Lowest,” in fact, achieves an average of 55fps provided that anti-aliasing is turned off. Of course, this comes at the expense of render distance and overall quality, but it does give the user some versatility.
