Satisfactory is finally getting controller support and much more in next update

Following years spent in Early Access, the management/construction/automation game Satisfactory finally saw its 1.0 launch last year. Already a solid release with a ton of additions, the game’s upcoming 1.1 update is set to introduce a bunch of new and welcome features – including the long-awaited controller support.

Releasing a video to YouTube, the team at Coffee Stain Studios officially announced and detailed update 1.1 for Satisfactory.

Said to be coming to the game’s experimental branch tomorrow on the 1st of April, the update brings with it a ton of improvements, additions and new features. The full video can be found HERE, but some of the most notable updates include:

  • Added Photo mode
  • Personnel Elevators
  • Curved Conveyor Belts
  • Splitters/mergers now work on vertical conveyor belts
  • Straight + Curved Pipes
  • Curved rails
  • Left handed rail signals
  • Coffee machine
  • Drone pathing
  • Dismantling/destroying more world objects
  • Controller Support

As always, the full list of changes and additions can be found HERE.

While a meaty update, one of the most interesting additions is the support for controllers. Teased back with the launch of 1.0, support for such peripherals were developed in part due to the planned console release.

Though this has yet to materialise, the implementation of controller support seems to suggest that the console release could be making great progress. Here’s to hoping.
