Among Us VR Steam update points to December launch

It has been a while since the last major Among Us update, but the game is looking to make a big splash this year with a new VR version. Recently, changes on Steam's backend appear to have revealed the release date for Among Us VR, which should be launching in December.

Last week, changes made on Steam's backend showed up on SteamDB, pointing to a 10th of November release date for Among Us VR. Just a couple of days later, the date was amended, pointing to a new 13th of December launch date.

It is entirely possible that both dates were merely placeholders, but given the size of the team at Innersloth, and the studio's current release cadence for major updates, we would expect Among Us VR to still be a few months away.

Among Us VR was first announced at The Game Awards in 2021. With that in mind, the game could show up for a re-reveal at Geoff Keighley's upcoming Summer Game Fest event in June, or possibly at the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, a VR-focused game announcement stream taking place this week.
