Dead Rising comes to PC next month, system requirements revealed

The original Dead Rising is finally making its way to the PC next month, ahead of the launch of Dead Rising 4 in December, which will see the return of Frank West, the series’ original protagonist. The game will be launching in ‘remastered’ form and now that the Steam page is live, we have the system requirements.

The new PC release of Dead Rising will have support for higher resolutions and proper support for unlocked frame rates and 144Hz monitors, unlike Dead Rising 3, which initially launched with a 30 frames per second cap on PC.

Minimum system requirements include an Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2 CPU, 2GB of RAM and a GTX 550Ti or AMD Radeon HD6770. On the recommended side, an Intel Core i5 or AMD desktop equivalent is listed on the CPU side, you will want 8GB of RAM and a GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7790 graphics card. Basically, any modern gaming PC should have no trouble at all.

Dead Rising launches on Steam on the 13th of September for £15.99. Then in December, Dead Rising 4 is due to come out, which will see Frank West return to the same mall featured in the original game.

KitGuru Says: I had a lot of fun playing the original Dead Rising on the Xbox 360 back in the day. From the sounds of it, the PC version of the game is shaping up to be decent too. Will any of you be revisiting Dead Rising on the PC?
