First gameplay footage shows off new Borderlands 3 expansion

Borderlands 3 has been out for a few months now and for those who have already finished the base game, there is more content just around the corner. The first campaign expansion, Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, is coming on the 19th of December and this week, Gearbox shared the first gameplay footage showing off what's to come.

This expansion will focus on The Handsome Jackpot, a casino ran by Handsome Jack before the events of Borderlands 2 take place. The casino is now overrun by looters and players will have to clear them out, as well as new bosses and enemies, all while earning new legendary gear.

In the video above, we are treated to 13 minutes of gameplay footage showcasing some of the new map and what we'll be getting up to. Aside from story missions, the new expansion also comes with side missions and crew challenges to take part in.

The Handsome Jackpot is intended for players who are at least level 13, so even if you haven't finished the entire base game yet, you can take a break from that to play the brand new content. As you would expect, the challenge will scale accordingly for players who are already at a higher level. This is just the first part of Borderlands 3's season pass, so there are three more DLCs will be on the way after this one.

KitGuru Games: DLSS 5 misses the point

It would be hard to argue that NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies haven’t been a net positive to the PC space, with the machine-learning based upscaler successfully translating lower resolution inputs into a final image which is perceivably sharper while hogging fewer resources. Though somewhat more contentious, the next evolution of DLSS came in the form of Frame Generation, using ML in order to generate additional frames for high-refresh rate gaming. Both techniques can have their issues, but generally speaking they’ve allowed for more people to experience higher-end titles at increased frame rates. DLSS 5, however, takes a sharp pivot, with a very different end goal in mind than the performance-boosting versions that came before.
