In December 2019, Riot Games announced that it was teaming up with other developers to create a series of single-player games based on the League of Legends IP. The first of these games is Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which was initially penned in for an early 2021 launch, but that has now changed to simply ‘2021’. While the delay is unfortunate, we weren’t left empty handed, as the first gameplay trailer has released.
Last night during The Game Awards, Riot Games released the first gameplay trailer for Ruined King, showing off the indie-RPG in action:
Ruined King is set within two regions of Runeterra – Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles. Players will go on a journey, investigating the black mist and fighting against a common enemy.
Gameplay-wise, it is a turn-based RPG with isometric maps and dungeons. Along the way, you’ll meet League of Legends characters like Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be coming to PC and consoles in 2021.
