The Xbox and Bethesda summer games showcase will be 2 hours long

Last month, Microsoft confirmed when its big summer showcase would take place. Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda will be taking the stage together once again on the 11th of June to showcase new Xbox first-party games, with an additional showcase afterwards focused entirely on Starfield. Now, we know a bit more about Microsoft's plans.

Walking Cat, a Twitter user that has consistently found leaks through parts of Windows, has found evidence that the Xbox Games Showcase will run from 10AM PT on the 11th of June until 12AM, indicating a two-hour runtime.

This is supposedly the runtime for the Starfield Direct and the Xbox showcase combined. Based on Microsoft's previous showcases, we can anticipate that the main event will be roughly 90 minutes long, with the Starfield Direct taking up the remaining 30 minutes of the schedule.

As is the case every year, we can expect a mix of new game announcements and updates for previously announced titles. Microsoft typically saves the biggest announcements for its summer showcase, so this is where we are most likely to see updates for exclusives like Avowed or Hellblade 2.

KitGuru Says: Aside from Starfield, I'm really hoping we get some new information on Avowed or Hellblade 2 at this year's showcase. Bethesda may also have some surprises up its sleeve, as Machine Games has been quiet for a few years now.
