Star Wars: Galactic Racer officially arrives this October

One of the biggest surprise announcements from last year’s The Game Awards was the official unveiling of Star Wars: Galactic Racer – a AAA racing title led by ex-Burnout and Need For Speed developers. Previously slated for release sometime in 2026, the teams at Fuse Games and Secret Mode have now officially confirmed that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will launch in October.

Making the announcement via a new trailer, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is officially slated to arrive on the 6th of October 2026. Alongside its release date, the team also shared Galactic Racer’s price and various editions.

Costing £49.99 for the standard edition, a digital deluxe edition is also on offer (setting you back £64.99) and includes:

  • Three exclusive vehicles
  • Unique Livery
  • Three Arcade Events
  • Deluxe Player Banner
  • Digital Art Book

As expected, a small bonus is also on offer for those who pre-order the game ahead of its release, netting you an “exclusive Pre-Order bonus Livery” and Banner.

Everything we’ve seen so far from Star Wars: Galactic Racer looks great, however we will have to wait and see whether the game is able to offer enough in the way of substance to justify its cost. We should find out when the game officially arrives this October.
