When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order first launched, many fans celebrated the title for being an action adventure title with a focus on fun gameplay and a single player story. It is no surprise therefore that the game sold well. What may come as a surprise however is the fact that in the US, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the second best selling game in the past 12 months.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order recently celebrated its first anniversary. In a post on Twitter, EA said “Can you believe it’s been a whole year since this dynamic duo arrived on the scene? Happy birthday to #JediFallenOrder!”. In response to this this, industry analyst Mat Piscatella revealed that “It [Fallen Order] ranks as the #2 best-selling video game in the US over the last 12 months, trailing only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.”

Also, this past year seems like it's been a decade long. https://t.co/dHPPMRZQWf

This is extremely impressive as the past 12 months has seen a number of major releases including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, The Last of Us Part II, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Pokémon Sword & Shield, and of course, a plethora of sports titles.
Of course, it is worth noting that these figures are limited to US sales. Even so, the US is one of the biggest markets for games, and so its success there is certainly notable. Most recent figures from March put Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order at 10 million copies sold. It’ll be interesting to see just how many copies it has sold since then.
