As with most Apple products, the upcoming ‘iPad Mini’ hype has been building now for months. The pricing and configuration information has apparently been leaked thanks to a consumer electronic’s giants inventory system.
MobileGeeks published an inventory system screenshot which shows a total of 16 different memory and wirless configurations for the iPad Mini.
The screenshot above is said to come from the internal inventory of Media Market, Europe’s largest electronics retailer. The page is in German but it lists the prices in Euros, with hopefully the 19 percent value added tax added. Prices start at 249 euros for a wi-fi only 8GB version of the Mini. Apple will be offering 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions. The 64GB ‘cellular’ version is listed at 649 euros.
Apple have already begun development and production of the tablet which rumours suggest will be launched around the 23rd of October. One Asia news source claims that production issues may delay the release however.
The latest news would indicate that Apple have ordered 10 million of the units for Q4 this year, which is around double what Amazon have ordered for their Kindle Fire in the same quarter.
