Apple's AirPods were delayed by almost two months but on the 19th of December, they will finally go on sale. However, there were still some unanswered questions. Given that these headphones are wireless, it will be easier to lose one, so how much will it cost to replace a lost AirPod, or even the charging case?
This week, Apple listed the prices for servicing the battery, replacing a single AirPod or replacing the charging case. If you happen to lose an AirPod, it will cost you $69 to replace and if the battery in one dies, it will cost you $49.
The charging case has the same pricing structure for the battery service and full replacement. In total, the AirPod set costs $159 brand new and includes two headphones and the battery charging case that carries an additional 24 hours of battery life and can quick charge the AirPods to 50% within 15 minutes.
KitGuru Says: Long story short, don't lose your AirPods, because replacing them will be quite costly.
