We measured the power consumption of the system at the wall while loading the CPU using Prime95 and GPU using FurMark. We also recorded the power consumption with the system idling at the desktop.
This laptop consumes a lot of juice under load, but less than a high end gaming desktop system would.
It is a crazy amount of cash. Good systems, but they do charge over the odds-0 like Apple.
I have an old Alienware desktop and it has lasted a long time, only problem is that some of their parts can’t be replaced easily due to some weird cabling. I can’t see many people spending so much cash on a high end laptop in todays economic climate, but if they can, im jealous!
