Humble Origin Bundle looks set to break $10 million, double record

The Humble Origin Bundle is not only the fastest selling bundle ever, the most popular ever, and the highest earning, but it looks set to double all previous monetary records – making it even more impressive that every penny of this thing goes to charity.

At the time of writing it's just under $100,000 from reaching the $10 million threshold that we called a couple of weeks ago, and the purchases continue to pour in. They've reached over two million at this point, with the average purchase price creeping slowly upwards and almost hitting $5. Of course with no MAC or Linux compatibility, so the overall average is at the typical PC gamer low.

Just get it for Mirror's Edge alone. That game is awesome.

If you haven't thrown a few dollars at this bundle yet, you only have 30 hours left to do so. If you don't, you'll be missing out on a lot of great games, including: Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, Mirror’s Edge, Dead Space 3 and Medal of Honor – all available with Steam keys to those that spend at least $1. However, beat the average and you’ll also get Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 + Starter Pack, which includes the “Stuff” and “Late Night” expansions. Recent additions also include Red Alert 3: Uprising and the original Populous.

Everything you spend with this bundle is split between the Humble Bundle tip and several charities – so no money goes to EA here guys. Those charities are: Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, American Red Cross, GamesAid and the American Cancer Society.

KitGuru Says: Go on. Give £3. That's all you need to spend to get all those games. It's totally worth it.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
