Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches in August with new game mode

It has been a while since Konami first announced Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The remade classic is due to land on PlayStation, Xbox and PC later this year. Now, thanks to an early update to the PS Store, we know exactly when we'll be able to play it.

The PlayStation Store has been updated with an August 28th release date for the game. The listing also came with a release date trailer, which is now being shared online:

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is Konami's remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, offering the same gripping story as the original, but with modern graphics and audio technologies to improve the stealth-action experience.

Aside from the main campaign, players will have a fun additional mode to try – Snake vs Monkey, a mode in which players will take control of Snake as he runs around levels capturing escaped apes. It might not be anything major, but could be a fun little addition for fans.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
