Nintendo Switch 2 will be unveiled this week according to insider

Since the start of 2025, we have seen an influx of new leaks and rumours surrounding Nintendo’s much anticipated Switch 2. It seems we may be mere days away from an official reveal, as one insider is now claiming the next-gen console could be announced by Nintendo as soon as this week.

According to known industry insider NateTheHate via their podcast of the same name, the Switch 2 will be announced in just a few days, saying:

“I've been told that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed in the coming week. Want to know when? On Thursday, January 16.”

Offering a bit more on what to expect from this event, Nate continued, “What I heard is that the reveal will focus on almost exclusively the console itself. There will not be any presence of games, there may be games shown running on the hardware on a screen/TV depending on how the trailer is put together but software will not be a focus. So if the trailer is absent of any games, do not be too surprised about it.”

Given just how long it’s been since the last Nintendo system, it will be interesting to see how their plans for the upcoming console pans out. Considering the fact that the first showing won’t include any games, here’s to hoping that the hardware itself proves to be exciting enough on its own terms. We might not have to wait long to find out.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
