Get hands-on with Asus at Multiplay i46 this weekend

Without doubt, Multiplay are the masters of multiplayer gaming and the Insomnia series of LAN events is legendary. This weekend, Telford International Centre will be packed, wall to wall, with thousands of gamers – eager to win big prizes, have a laugh and make new friends. Asus will be there is a big way and, if you attend, you can see some very cool kit. KitGuru makes a touchy-feely shopping list.

If you're serious about gaming, then there is a good chance that you've considered a system from Overclockers UK, Dino PC, ChillBlast, PC Specialist or Wired2Fire.

At Multiplay i46, you can see the very latest components from Asus inside systems from ALL of these gaming PC manufacturers.

So what does ‘the very latest components' include?

Well Asus will be showcasing a series of products including brand new Z77 ROG motherboards like the Maximus V Formula, Extreme and Gene. You can also touch up the highly rated GTX660 Ti graphics card and see what all that gaming goodness looks like on a the VG278HE LCD monitor (world’s first 144MHz refresh rate – do very definitely nVidia 3D Vision/Light-Boost Ready).

We spoke with Asus Marketing guru, Miodrag Relic, who told us, “At Multiplay i46 you don't have to dream – we're also giving away big prizes mate”.

Sounds good, but how does it work? What are the rules of engagement?

“One set of prizes will be for a magic key “, he explained. “There will be 500 identical looking keys, but only one will Unlock The Future and let you walk away with a prize”.

“We will also have a technical specialist, Thomas Jenner, on hand to explain the latest features on our mainboards and graphic cards. Ask him a touch enough question and you'll pick up a special raffle ticket with a chance to pick up something very special”, he said.

KitGuru also heard something about ‘Beat The Clock' so we asked Miodrag about this.

“It's not all about screwdrivers, BIOS settings and dry ice”, said Miodrag. “Asus will also have a crazy race track set up and the fastest drivers will win cool prizes”.

Play your card right on the Asus stand at Multiplay i46 and you could win something very attractive

KitGuru says: With several thousand gamers attending, NASA (Nice and Safe Attitude) in place and way more than $30,000 in prize money up for grabs, seeing the hottest kit from Asus will be a nice bonus for those who attend the UK's Number One LAN Gaming Event, Multiplay i46 at the Telford International Centre from 24th to 27th August.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
