Sony is bringing PC support to PlayStation VR2 headsets with new adapter

With Sony opening up to supporting the PC platform more and more, many of us wondered if the PlayStation VR2 headset would support PCs when it launched. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, Sony did reveal plans to change that earlier this year. Now, Sony appears to have successfully achieved PlayStation VR2 support on PC. 

In South Korea, Sony has submitted details of its “PlayStation VR2 PC adapter” for certification. The name of the device makes it quite clear what this is. The device was apparently certified back in March, so Sony could be set to reveal it officially any day now.

This PC adapter for PlayStation VR2 headsets will likely cost extra and won't be included with the headset itself, so that is something worth keeping in mind. With the adapter in place, you should be able to use the new Sony headset just like any other PC VR headset, granting you access to all of your PC VR games through Steam.

Hopefully this also means that more PlayStation VR exclusives will make their way over to PC, although many PS VR2 titles are already multiplatform at this stage, unlike the original headset, which had a wider range of exclusive games.
