be quiet! launches the Dark Rock 5 single-tower cooler

Following the Dark Rock 5 announcement at Computex 2024, be quiet! has now shared the details of its upcoming CPU air cooler. Using a single-tower design, the Dark Rock 5 aims to deliver efficient cooling in scenarios where larger dual-tower models may not be practical. This cooler is engineered to be compatible with a wide range of mainstream consumer motherboards and RAM modules, catering to a diverse spectrum of system configurations.

Building upon the success of its predecessor, the Dark Rock 5 uses six heat pipes connected to an asymmetrical, full-black heat sink designed to be compatible with tall memory modules and VRM coolers. Equipped with the Silent Wings 4 120mm PWM fan, this cooler operates at a noise level of just 29.8 dB(A) at maximum speed. Additionally, users can mount an extra fan on the exhaust side.

One notable feature of the Dark Rock 5 is its improved mounting system, which incorporates a pre-fixed mounting bridge and screws, streamlining the installation process. The inclusion of a magnetic mesh top cover not only provides convenient access to the screws but also conceals the heat pipe ends in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

The Dark Rock 5 has a nickel-plated heat contact plate, making it compatible with liquid metal thermal compounds. Backed by a three-year warranty, it will hit the shelves on June 25th, priced at £64.99 in the UK, $69.90 in the US, and €69.90 in Europe.
