Fallout TV show amasses 17 Emmy nominations

Last year, HBO’s The Last of Us made a big splash at the Emmys, securing a total of 24 Emmy nominations – and going on to win 8 of those awards. It seems we will have a similar situation this year with Amazon’s Fallout TV show, as it has now received 17 total Emmy nominations.

With the complete nominations list for the 2024 Emmys now live, we can see that Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show is one of the leading shows – only behind the likes of Shogun and The Bear (25 and 23 nominations respectively).

That said, Fallout could still be the big winner, with nominations included for the likes of Outstanding Drama Series; Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series – to name a few.

Just 10 years ago it would have been nearly impossible to imagine a video game adaptation getting a single Emmy nomination, let alone 17; and regardless of whether it sweeps the awards or not, Amazon’s Fallout is an undeniable success.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
