Intel Core i9-14900KS is reportedly releasing in mid-March

It seems that the Core i9-14900KS CPU, the upcoming 24-core processor designed for the LGA1700 desktop platform, will be the last flagship SKU for this socket. According to a recent report, the Core i9-14900KS will hit the market in mid-March.

The Core i9-14900KS is an upgraded version of the previously available Core i9-14900K. It has a higher TDP of 150W, which is 25W higher than its predecessor, and a boosted clock speed of up to 6.2GHz for up to two P-cores, an increase of 200MHz. This SKU is targeted towards enthusiasts and overclockers who demand nothing but the best-binned CPUs available rather than the mainstream audience.

According to Benchlife (via VideoCardz), this CPU will follow a release pattern similar to the last KS chips Intel released. While the i9-12900KS was released in April and the 13900KS launched in January, the Core i9-1490KS is rumoured to target a release in mid-March.

It is currently uncertain whether Intel plans to release any subsequent KS versions. The upcoming shift to a new LGA1851 socket will introduce a completely new Arrow Lake architecture, which is rumoured to have a new naming scheme, potentially something like the Core 9 Ultra 290K.
