ViewSonic is launching its first OLED gaming monitor

ViewSonic is getting into the OLED game. The new XG272-2K-OLED will be the company's first OLED gaming monitor, sporting an ultra low 0.01ms pixel response time, as well as an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate for ultra smooth gaming.

Aside from response times and refresh rates, OLED panels have numerous other benefits. Thanks to the panel's ability to completely dim pixels, perfect black levels and contrast ratios are achievable, for vibrant images with crisp motion clarity.

To aid in maintaining smooth gameplay, the monitor supports both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium, so you can avoid screen tearing while trying to maximise the panel's 240Hz refresh rate. An included stand offers height adjustment, along with swivel and tilt, and RGB LEDs on the monitor can help add some extra backlighting to your room.

The ViewSonic XG272-2K-OLED will be available in the UK and Europe starting this month, priced at £799.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
