Nvidia RTX 40 Super graphics cards may have the same TDP as standard models

There's some new information about the supposedly upcoming Nvidia RTX 40 Super series GPUs. According to recent rumours about the RTX 40 Super series cards, the new models may not have the same power requirements as the standard models.

Based on Kopite7kimi's claims, the power consumption figures for the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super will have a 320W TDP and a 285W TDP, respectively. The RTX 4070 Super is the lone exception, with a 20W increase in power. These values are especially relevant for the Nvidia FE cards (reference design). As you may know, custom cards from board partners may come with a higher TDP.

According to prior rumours, the RTX 4080 Super would include an AD103 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR6X memory. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will likely use an AD102 or an AD103 GPU with 8,448 CUDA cores and a 16GB GDDR6X memory configuration. Finally, there's the RTX 4070 Super, which is believed to have 7168 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X memory.

Board partners reportedly do not expect any big announcements this year. As a result, the RTX 40 Super is unlikely to arrive until 2024.
