Samsung unveils impressive new range of Odyssey OLED monitors for 2024

CES is coming up in less than a week  and as we've come to expect, there will be a new generation of gaming monitors launching, pushing technologies further with high refresh rates, new designs and more OLED options. Samsung is amongst the first to showcase their new monitors, including three new Odyssey OLED series displays.

At the top of the list we have the new 2024 Odyssey OLED G9, a new version of the massive 49-inch superwide monitor, still sporting 5120×1440 resolution and a 32:9 aspect ratio, alongside an OLED panel with glare-free technology, DisplayHDR True Black, FreeSync Premium Pro, as well as HDMI 2.1 ports and DisplayPort 1.4.

The Odyssey OLED G8 is Samsung's first flat 32-inch OLED monitor, sporting 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate for ultra smooth gaming. The Odyssey OLED G6 is a 27-inch 1440p option with a whopping 360Hz refresh rate.

We don't have details on exact availability or pricing yet but we hope to learn more on that front soon.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
