ASRock rolls out new BIOS to fix AM5 stability issues

Earlier this week, AMD commented on a recent surge of complaints from AM5 motherboard users, who suffered ‘burnt out' CPUs and sockets. AMD said this was a BIOS misconfiguration issue. Now, ASRock is rolling out a new BIOS that will improve system stability.

According to AMD's statement on the matter, some AM5 motherboards have been set up to push Ryzen CPUs beyond their preset voltage and power specifications. Motherboard makers are now rolling out a new BIOS to ensure that CPUs are running within safe parameters. ASRock has announced the rollout of its new BIOS, which is now freely available to download and install.

This new BIOS update disables Memory P-State by default and adjusts VDDCR_SOC voltage parameters. The end result should be more stable performance for both memory and CPU. In the table below, you can find a download link for each corresponding ASRock AM5 motherboard:
