Starfield release possibly pushed out of the first half of 2023

Bethesda Game Studios’ long awaited Sci-Fi RPG Starfield was originally announced to be releasing on the 11th of November 2022 before being pushed back into the first half of 2023. It seems as though the title has since been delayed further, with sources claiming that Starfield will now be targeting the second half of the year.

Bethesda-focused YouTuber MrMattyPlays recently claimed that Starfield would once again take longer than previously announced to come out, saying on the latest episode of the Defining Duke podcast:

“Starfield is getting a possible bump out of the first half because it's currently undated. Still [coming this] Summer but possibly [delayed] out of the first half.”

Though MrMattyPlays himself is not necessarily an industry insider, the information is said to come from a reliable source, with the YouTuber adding “This source is someone that I trust quite a bit and they've been very correct…nothing from that source has been wrong.”

Microsoft has had to delay a lot of its biggest exclusives and Starfield is no exception. While it seems the delay will not be significant, considering how long Starfield has been in development, the team should take as much time as needed to ensure it launches in a polished state.
