No More Heroes studio reportedly working on AAA Alien game

Recently we reported that a AAA game based on the popular Alien film franchise is said to be currently in development, While little else was known about the title at the time, a new leak has offered additional information revealing which studio has been tasked with the game’s development.

Following the initial leak by InsiderGaming, which claimed that a AAA survival horror Alien game is currently in development (with an expected release date of Holiday 2023), sources have now revealed that the studio tasked to work on this title is none other than Grasshopper Manufacture.

For the uninitiated, Grasshopper Manufacture was founded by Goichi (Suda51) Suda and is best known for having developed the No More Heroes series of games.

Grasshopper Manufacture have not been known for their big budget releases nor their survival horror experience, and so it is interesting to see the first major AAA Alien game released in years being given to them.

That being said, if successful, Grasshopper Manufacture won’t be the first studio to take a leap such as this, with previous success stories being seen with the likes of Guerilla Games going from Killzone to Horizon Zero Dawn or even Alien Isolation itself, which was developed by Creative Assembly – a studio which previous focused on the Total War series of strategy games. It will be interesting to see exactly what type of game this Alien title ends up being.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
