The Steam Deck remains a rather elusive system, and yet with each passing month more and more fans are getting their hands on the system. With over 5000 titles now Steam Deck Verified / Playable more games than ever are being played portably. With that, Valve revealed the list of the most played Steam Deck games throughout August 2022.
Taking to Twitter, the official Steam Deck account said “And just like that, August is over! Taking a quick look back, here are the top games on Steam Deck for the past month, sorted by total hours played.”
- Vampire Survivors
- Cult of the Lamb
- ELDEN RING
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
- Stardew Valley
- No Man’s Sky
- Hades
- Multiversus
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
- MONSTER HUNTER RISE
It is interesting to see the variety in titles being played on the Steam Deck. Vampire Survivors for example is a gothic horror casual game with rogue-lite elements. Marvel’s Spider-Man launched in mid-August, and so its placement is impressive. Skyrim, of course, is now a decade-old classic (though it is curious to see the Special Edition make the list instead of the more recent ‘Anniversary Edition’).
All this is to say that the Steam Deck seems to be satiating all types of video game players, be it with a single player open-world title, a local co-op sim game, or an online focused fighter. It will be interesting to see what September’s charts will look like.
