The first Disney and Marvel games showcase announced for September

For years now, Marvel and Disney have been looking to ramp up their video game efforts. There is now a good number of games in development based on licensed IP, giving Disney enough content to put on its own games showcase.

The first Disney & Marvel games showcase will be taking place during D23 on the 9th of September at 9PM BST. Several games that will be showing up have already been announced, including Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

In addition, we’ll also get to see Skydance New Media’s upcoming Marvel game, a project helmed by Amy Hennig, who formed the new studio following EA’s closure of Visceral Games.

EA is also currently rumoured to be working on a few Marvel projects, and there could be more licensed Disney titles in the works beyond what we already know about. With that in mind, the door is open for a surprise or two during the event.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
