Diablo Immortal has surpassed $100M in revenue

Diablo Immortal launched in early June and quickly garnered 10 million players and earned just shy of $25 million within the first couple of weeks. At this point, the game has doubled to over 20 million installs and revenue has gone way up, surpassing $100 million.

Despite controversy and outcry over the game's monetisation methods, Diablo Immortal has continued to be a huge success for Activision Blizzard. According to the analysts at Sensor Tower, Immortal has now doubled its active player account  to 20 million players, and this month, the game also surpassed $100 million in revenue, getting to the milestone two weeks faster than Nintendo's mobile hit, Fire Emblem Heroes.

Diablo Immortal hasn't cracked the top ten grossing mobile games of the year yet, currently landing at 13th place, but with the game now launching in China following a delay, revenue for the game, and player numbers, are both expected to ramp up.

Diablo Immortal first launched on the 2nd of June for iOS, Android and PC. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
