New rumours claim summer reveal for Nintendo Switch Pro

It feels like every other day a new rumour pops up claiming that Nintendo is mere days or weeks away from announcing the elusive and much-desired Switch Pro. Today is one such day, as an industry analyst is claiming that a Switch Pro is set to be revealed some time this summer.

Industry analyst Serkan Toto Tweeted and then quickly deleted a post simply saying “Summer 2022, Pro time indeed.”

While on its own, the words of an insider might not be enough evidence to suggest that a Switch Pro is in any way imminent, Nintendo has recently engaged in odd behaviour which may lend credence to the rumour.

ResetEra user Meelow recently noticed that Nintendo have privatised a number of videos from their various YouTube channels – namely the trailers for the Switch Lite and Switch OLED Version. While this may ultimately mean nothing, companies such as Apple are known to privatise the trailers for their old products ahead of an announcement of new hardware. It is possible that Nintendo is following a similar strategy.

Of course, the Nintendo Switch Pro has been promised to be on its way for years now, and so it would be folly to hold your breath for a Summer announcement. That being said, Nintendo is predictably unpredictable, and so we will simply have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
