Nintendo Direct gives us a deep dive into Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Just as promised, today Nintendo went live with a new Direct stream focused on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a grand finale to the trilogy of RPGs. The full Direct was nearly 30 minutes long, delivering a deep dive into the new game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has had an interesting road to release. The game appeared in rumours in late 2021, before being announced with a late summer release date earlier this year. A couple of months later, the game's release date was brought forward – a rare site in the modern gaming landscape. Now, with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 set to release next month, we've got our deepest look at the game yet:

The Direct covers everything from the main characters, the open world, changes to the battle system (one of the most unique aspects of the Xenoblade series), as well as other new features. The game itself will focus on Noah, Mio and their friends as they fight to free their homelands from a never-ending cycle of violence.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set in Aionios, a world filled with breath-taking scenery and ferocious monsters. Players will learn new abilities (Arts), switch between different classes and recruit heroes to round out their party for the adventure ahead.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will release on the 29th of July for £49.99. There will also be a Collector's Edition, which includes new packaging and artwork from Masatsugu Saito, a full-colour concept art book with over 250 pages and a steel case for the game.

KitGuru Says: Xenoblade Chronicles is right up there with the Fire Emblem series for me personally. I've loved replaying Xenoblade 1 and 2 on my Switch over the last few months in preparation and I can't wait to dive into the third game. Will you be picking up Xenoblade Chronicles 3 next month?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
