World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will be releasing this year

Back in April, Blizzard officially unveiled not one, but two WoW expansions. For starters, Classic players will be getting Wrath of the Lich King, allowing players to reexperience one of the best expansions in the history of MMOs. In addition, the latest WoW expansion is also on the way, known as Dragonflight. While some anticipated a 2023 launch for this expansion, it is actually heading our way this year.

This week, Blizzard went live with World of Warcraft: Dragonflight pre-orders, revealing the base edition, Heroic edition and Epic Edition, costing £39.99, £54.99 and £74.99 respectively. As usual, the higher editions contain additional bonuses, like a character level boost, a pet, a mount and more.

With pre-orders now live, Blizzard has also confirmed that Dragonflight is planned to release this year. Typically, there is a longer wait from announcement to release for WoW expansions, with many of them releasing the year following their announcement. This time around, Blizzard has sped things up quite a bit.

Dragonflight will introduce a new playable race and class – Dracthyr Evokers. The new expansion will send players on a new adventure to the dragon homeland and offer a return to World of Warcraft's high fantasy roots. The level cap will increase to 70 and players will be able to learn a new skill, Dragonriding, which will involve skill-based aerial movement. The game's talent system has also been revamped, professions have been improved and the game's UI has been updated.

Previous leaks did claim that Dragonflight would release in November this year, but Blizzard has not confirmed an exact date at this time. Still, we should expect the expansion to roll out this holiday season.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
