Sony recently revealed their brand new and revamped PlayStation Plus service, which will be absorbing PlayStation Now into one unified service. As we wait for this service to go live, Sony is continuing to flesh out their PS Now library.
Making the announcement on their blog, Sony revealed the set of games coming to subscription service PlayStation Now this month, saying “Solve a galactic anomaly, tear up the racetrack, catalog alien fauna and play eco-warrior with April’s PlayStation Now lineup.”
With that, they announced April’s PS Now games:
- Outer Wilds
- WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship
- Journey to the Savage Planet
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood
This line-up does not differ too much from previous month’s offerings, suggesting that it will be business as usual with PlayStation Now until it is absorbed later this June. Even so, this line-up has a little something for everyone.
Outer Wilds is an award-winning open world indie game which sees a “solar system trapped in an endless time loop” offering unique gameplay mechanics and an enticing story.
Journey to the Savage Planet is a survival exploration game which sees you land on a vibrant and varied planet where you will gather resources, fight enemies and uncover the planet’s secrets.
WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship is an off-road sim racing game which will appeal to fans of the genre through the simulation of famous historical racing events, all of which can be experienced by the players in an authentic manner.
Last but not least is Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood. A double-A game through and through, this title feels in many ways like a throwback to the late PS2 and early PS3 era of gaming, offering a unique gimmick, fun gameplay but also some jank.
These games look to be permanent additions to the service, meaning that they should remain even when PlayStation Now is absorbed by PS Plus. All of these titles help to offer added variety to the service and are all certainly worth checking out.
