AMD RX 6X50XT graphics cards could hit the market in Q2 2022

New rumours regarding AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 6X50XT graphics cards have emerged, giving us more details about the alleged specifications of these cards, as well as their release window.

According to Chiphell forum user Wjm47196  (via VideoCardz), an AMD leaker with a decent record claims the AMD Radeon RX 6X50XT graphics cards are indeed real. These cards will be powered by Navi 21 (RX 6900XT and 6800 series) and Navi 22 (RX 6700XT) GPUs and are expected to release during Q2 2022. Availability will last for about one or two quarters, until RDNA3 graphics cards come out.

The Navi 21/22 dies on these graphics cards are expected to be built using TSMC's 6nm node, an upgrade over the TSMC N7 node used on the older Radeon RX 6000 series cards. However, we may also see a memory upgrade. As previously rumoured, instead of using 16Gbps GDDR6 memory, the refreshed GPUs may instead come with GDDR6 memory clocked at 18Gbps.

These new Radeon RX 6X50XT graphics cards look like an answer to the refreshed RTX 30 series cards, including the RTX 3080 12GB, the RTX 3090 Ti and possibly the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB. It's certainly plausible that both manufacturers are bolstering their product stacks ahead of Intel's Arc Alchemist GPU launch.
