A podcast based on Horizon Zero Dawn has been announced

Prior to the release of The Last of Us Part II, the team at Naughty Dog released a limited-run podcast, recapping the first game and teasing its sequel. With Horizon Forbidden West mere months away, the GAIA Cast has now been announced, diving “deep into the Horizon universe.”

In an announcement on Twitter, PlayStation Studio and Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerilla Games announced the GAIA Cast. According to the studio, “From the team at Guerrilla, GAIA Cast is an upcoming podcast that dives deep into the Horizon universe.”

Unlike The Last of Us podcast, the GAIA Cast will offer multiple seasons of content, with “Our first season, focused on Horizon Zero Dawn, [debuting] this Tuesday, 23 November, with our first episode: All About Aloy.”

Both the worlds of The Last of Us and Horizon have deep and mysterious pasts, presents and futures. It is therefore exciting to see more content surrounding these worlds being released in multiple different mediums.

Podcasts are a highly popular form of media and it is interesting to see Sony choosing to adopt it not only as a form of marketing, but as a way to remind fans of the events of previous games – and these worlds as a whole. It will be interesting to see what other PlayStation IPs get their own podcast.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
