Horizon Forbidden West to release in Q1 2022

Earlier this week, rumours began swirling that Horizon Forbidden West could be delayed to 2022. Now, another reliable source has come forward, confirming that Sony has made the decision to push the game back to Q1 2022.

The initial report came from Giant Bomb member, Jeff Grubb, who has reported early information accurately in the past. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier added to the report, revealing new details, such as the more specific Q1 2021 release window.

Schreier clarified that this is a done deal and Sony made the decision “a little while ago”. With that in mind, Horizon Forbidden West will no longer be releasing between October and December 2021 and will instead be releasing between January and March 2022.

Sony is expected to announce this release date change officially by September, possibly during the next State of Play stream. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Thanks to titles like Returnal and Ratchet and Clank, the PS5 will still have had a great first year of first-party titles and the console will continue to sell out. If Horizon Forbidden West needed more time, then delaying is always the best decision.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
