Microsoft Flight Simulator comes to Xbox next month

As part of the Microsoft and Bethesda E3 press conference, the console manufacturer finally revealed when Asobo’ Microsoft Flight Simulator would be heading to consoles. The game, which launched on PC in August 2020, will be coming to Xbox Series X|S just under one year after its initial launch.

Microsoft revealed that its Flight Simulator would be heading to Xbox Series X and S on the 27th of July 2021, just under one year after its initial PC release on the 18th of August 2020.

Of course, Microsoft Flight Simulator launched with a number of amusing bugs and many inaccuracies in the world rendering – something which has been continually updated and fixed. This means that despite launching later, the Xbox Series X|S versions will likely be the most refined.

Furthermore, while the game has been notorious for its heavy performance requirements, the Xbox Series X version will run at 4K. Currently it is unknown whether a performance mode will be offered, and what the Series S version will look like.

Despite being more than a month away, players can pre-install the game right now, ensuring that when it launches on the 27th of July, no hefty downloads will be needed.

Finally, the team announced a free expansion pass which crosses over with the Top Gun film franchise, “so you can experience first-hand what it’s like to be a U.S. Navy Top Gun”. The expansion will launch on the 19th of November 2021.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
