Grand Theft Auto 6 map leaks indicate a return to Vice City

A new leak claiming to show the map for Grand Theft Auto 6 has appeared online. There are four images of the alleged map, showing that the game will take place in Vice City, as well as several islands off the coast.

According to Comicbook, the leaks began in early 2020 with two map screenshots. Later, a third image detailing one of the islands was revealed and now, a fourth image has also been shared. Connecting all four images apparently shows the full playable game world for the next Grand Theft Auto game.

There have been rumours that Grand Theft Auto 6 will return or connect previous locations from the series, such as Los Santos and Liberty City. These images, however, focus on Vice City and surrounding islands of the coast, indicating that a return to Vice City is likely. Given that Vice City is based on Miami, adding additional Caribbean-like islands to the map would fit the setting nicely. Rockstar previously experimented with adding islands to its larger game map in Red Dead Redemption 2, where a portion of the story takes place on an island away from the main map.

Rockstar has not announced anything regarding the next Grand Theft Auto officially and we unfortunately have no idea when the game might be ready to release. With that in mind, take these images with a grain of salt – there could still be a long wait ahead.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
